Mother’s Day Blooms-To-Give | May 10
Take a moment to give something special to those in need this Mother’s Day. Bring the mother figure in your life, or even come by yourself, and craft colorful, friendly floral arrangements at Kingwood Center Gardens in Mansfield. All the arrangements will be donated to Wayfinders Ohio and the domestic violence shelter. All are welcome, and you can even leave a note with your arrangement to spread the love. Pots, wet oasis foam, greenery and flowers are all provided, and afterwards, you can enjoy a stroll through the gardens.

Mother’s Day Breakfast | May 10
Before you were a child playing with your beloved Barbie dolls, your mother likely sat in her childhood bedroom creating her own Barbie universe. Perfect for all ages, treat your mom to a Mother’s Day breakfast at the Cincinnati Museum Center as part of its current exhibition, “Barbie: A Cultural Icon.” Complete with build-your-own breakfast tacos and classic fare such as waffles, enjoy great food while sharing precious childhood memories together.

Lace up those sneakers, stretch out those calves, grab mom and head to Summit County’s Munroe Falls Metro Park for the Mother’s Day 5k. Take in the scenery as you run, jog or walk the course. For competitive spirits, the first and second place male and female winners in each category get their name engraved in the Munroe Falls Mother’s Day 5k brick paver. But those looking to just get some fresh air will also enjoy this trek, and all proceeds support the Summit Metro Parks Foundation.

Elegant dancers from Columbus Modern Dance Company seem to float through the gardens at Topiary Park in Columbus, putting on a beautiful show that is perfect for mothers and their families to enjoy. Tea and cookies at intermission provide a light snack to complement the afternoon full of dancing against the backdrop of the topiary, which re-creates of Georges Seurat's “A Sunday on La Grande Jatte.”
