6 Holiday Happenings at The Junto Hotel in Columbus

Holiday season is upon us and The Junto hotel in Columbus has plenty of ways to celebrate it. With a mix of food, drinks and holiday-themed happenings, there are several ways to dive into the holidays at this downtown hotel. From festive red decor and spirited cocktails with a peppermint twist to a holiday tree lighting and a hands-on mixology class, discover six happenings throughout all of November and December starting Nov. 6.

Santa Baby Holiday Bar | Nov. 6–Dec. 26
The red-drenched lounge is back for its second year. Santa Baby, a holiday pop-up bar, features over-the-top red decor along with indulgent cocktails for an evening filled with festive energy in a speakeasy-style lounge. Tues.–Thurs. 5–10 p.m., Fri. & Sat. 5 p.m.–midnight

Winter Haus at Brass Eye | Nov. 6–March 1
Head to the eighth-floor rooftop bar and restaurant, Brass Eye, for a cozy meal beside a fireplace or in a private Winter Haus greenhouse. Try spirited cocktails while taking in the city views, including Trail Snacks made with brown butter suntory toki, Buffalo Trace bourbon, chocolate bitters and salted brown sugar. Each greenhouse accommodates six to eight people. Mon.–Thurs. 4–11 p.m., Fri. & Sat. 4 p.m.–1 a.m., Sat. (brunch) 11 a.m.–3 p.m., Sun. (brunch) 10 a.m.–2 p.m.

Holiday Tree Lighting | Dec. 3
Listen to live holiday music by the Meg Paulsen Quartet, browse vendors and sample treats around the fire in The Trade Room, the hotel’s lobby bar, during this fourth-annual holiday tree lighting. 5–9 p.m., tree lighting at 6:30 p.m.

Festive Fridays | Dec. 4, 11 & 18
Celebrate the spirit of the season with seasonal cocktails and free live music in The Trade Room. Hear from R&B duo Honey & Blue Dec. 4, Sydney McSweeney Trio Dec. 11 and Renee Dion and band Dec. 18. 7–9 p.m.

Brassy Eyed Brunches with Santa | Dec. 6, 12, 19 & 20
Seasonal brunches with Santa Claus return to The Junto’s rooftop Brass Eye bar and restaurant. Choose from holiday-inspired brunch fare, take in the Columbus skyline and Scioto River, and be sure to take photos with Santa. 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Dec. 6, 12 & 19, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Dec. 20

Holly Jolly Mixology | Dec. 10 & 17
Head to The Trade Room for a holiday cocktail class and learn how to make festive cocktails, including a Mother’s Ruin Xmas Punch and Classic Egg Nog. 6–7 p.m. $40

The Junto opened in the summer of 2023 and bills itself as a modern-day embodiment of Benjamin Franklin’s 1727 club for mutual improvement, which brought diverse groups of people together to discuss ideas of the time.
