Spring and Summer Events at Zoar Village

This preserved 19th-century town in Tuscarawas County offers a glimpse into the lives of the Germans separatists who founded it.

When you walk the path of Zoar and step inside its historic buildings, it’s easy to see the multitude of ways this village has never really left the 1800s behind. Certainly, modernity has crept in, but the way the Ohio History Connection-affiliated site preserves the past is impressive. From its beautiful community garden with Biblical symbolism to its deep collection of artifacts that tell the story of those who lived here, Zoar offers history buffs an interesting place to explore.
