Boston Mills Ski Resort Announces 2025 Opening Day

You can hit the slopes at this Ohio ski resort starting Dec. 19, and special events are planning throughout the season.

If all the recent snow has you ready to hit the slopes on skis, Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Boston Mills Ski Resort is ready to welcome visitors Dec. 19. Boston Mills Ski Resort in Peninsula kicks off its 2025-26 season with a 10 a.m. first-chair banner break. (Brandywine Ski Resort in nearby Sagamore Hills will open soon, according to Colorado-based Vail Resorts, which owns and operates both northeast Ohio ski locations.)

Thanks to both Mother Nature and the resort’s snow-makers, five trails of freshly groomed terrain are available, and snowmaking will continue with the aim of adding new trails to the mix heading into opening weekend.

Throughout the season, there will be events offering discounted lift tickets and rentals for evening skiing and boarding. Nighttime Specials at both Boston Mills and Brandywine are set for Jan. 31, Feb. 14, Feb. 28 and March 7, with $29 lift tickets and $12 rentals from 5 p.m. to close. (Rental equipment is limited and reservations in advance are encouraged.)

Other special events scheduled for 2026 at Boston Mills include Stick and Tricks at Boston Mills on Feb. 7 (a free-to-enter Rail Jam from 4 to 8 p.m.) and Retro Day on Feb. 14 (during which skiers are encouraged to throw it back to 2000).

Boston Mills’ annual Winter Carnival returns March 7 with a full day of events in which visitors can take part or cheer participants on from the sidelines. (A $2 donation to the Epic Promise Foundation is encouraged for each event event. Get more details at the Boston Mills-Brandywine website.)
