Canal Boat Lounge • Canal Fulton
There was a time when Canal Fulton was a flurry of activity. Of course, that time was the 1840s and James Polk was president. This town along the Ohio & Erie Canal still holds that history close, and this watering hole just off the Towpath Trail offers a welcome respite for bicyclists or those riding the St. Helena III canalboat. Family-owned-and-operated since 1994, the restaurant serves up burgers, sandwiches and a full lineup of cold drinks.

Cartridge Brewing • Maineville
This former ammunition factory turned brewery sits alongside the Little Miami Scenic Trail in the Warren County village of Maineville. The 10,000-square-foot space carries the touches of its industrial past, while a large wall of windows frames the forest. The menu offers starters like pretzels and beer cheese to mains like burgers and Detroit-style pizzas. Owned by Saucy Brew Works since 2022, Cartridge Brewing’s beer list ranges from crispy lagers perfect
for summertime to hop-forward IPAs.
