Visit This Halloween-Themed Drive-Thru in Kirtland

From glowing lights to costumed characters, this annual event at Lake Metroparks Farmpark lets visitors celebrate Halloween from the comfort of their car.

If haunted houses aren’t your thing, but you still want a dose of Halloween thrills, Lake Metroparks Farmpark is the place for you this season. The park’s annual Halloween Drive-Thru is back on select nights this October, turning the Kirtland destination’s winding roads into a glowing trail of tricks, treats and larger-than-life decorations.

Presented by the local Ken Ganley Subaru Wickliffe and Ken Ganley Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Mentor, the event transforms Farmpark’s grounds into a seasonal spectacle that’s as easy to access as it is fun to experience.

On Oct. 10 through 12, 17 through 19, and 24 through 26, visitors can cruise through the park between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. to see a variety of sets ranging from cute and kooky to chilling and spooky (but still appropriate for a family setting). Colorful lights, oversized displays and volunteers portraying characters along the route completes the experience. This year’s event blends familiar favorites with fresh additions, so even repeat visitors will discover something new.

“It takes a lot of planning, creativity and energy to bring Halloween Drive-thru to life,” Seth Begman, chief of outdoor connections for Lake Metroparks, said in a Sept. 17 press release. “Every scene is crafted and brought to life in ways that make the experience entertaining and memorable for all ages.”

Tickets cost $27.50 per carload and must be purchased online in advance. Sales open Sept. 22 at 8 a.m. for Lake County residents and Lake Metroparks Farmpark members, and general sales begin Sept. 23.
