Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens in Akron Hosts Car Show for Father’s Day

The historic estate presents the 67th annual Classic, Antique & Collector Car Show in conjunction with the Ohio Region Classic Car Club of America.

This Father’s Day, ditch the cliche necktie gift and celebrate Dad with a bit more horsepower.

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is collaborating with the Ohio Region Classic Car Club of America to host the 67th Classic, Antique & Collector Car Show. This show is one of America’s longest-standing automobile shows and features 400 classic, antique and collector vehicles built between 1915 and 2000. Whether he’s a lifelong gearhead, a history lover or a food fanatic, this show has something every dad can enjoy.

Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens is one of Akron’s most iconic estates, and is the former residence of F.A. Seiberling, co-founder of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. It now operates as a nonprofit historic house museum for public education about the significance of America’s industrial age, making it the perfect location to host the event.

This year’s show is especially significant, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Ford Thunderbird. The Thunderbird, along with a curated display by The Inner Circle of Full Classics ranging from1915 to 2024, will be showcased in front of the Manor House during the event.

In addition to the car show, which is hosted in the estate’s Great Meadow, attendees will have access to self-guided tours of the Manor House, gardens and Corbin Conservatory. After exploring iconic vintage vehicles and enjoying scenic tours, guests can kick back and enjoy food and refreshments from The Winking Lizard, Gio’s Pizza Lab, Molly’s Courtyard Cafe and Kona-Ice.

Tickets for the car show can be purchased online or over the phone, and parking for the event is free, as are shuttle services.
