Sip Like It’s the 1920s at Spiegel Grove

Everyone knows summer is a great time for enjoying a fun cocktail or a local brew, and visitors to Fremont on Aug. 23 can elevate this experience with a stop at Spiegel Grove.

Returning for its seventh year in 2025, Craft Beers, Cocktails & Corks is back at Spiegel Grove, the home of 19th president and Ohio-native, Rutherford B. Hayes.

This annual event features 10 breweries onsite along with three wineries, all of which will offer samples. Local beers are provided by Brewing Green, Findlay Brewing Co., Twin Oast Brewing and several others, while Chateau Winery, Copper Whale Winery and White Stag Winery are catering to the wine lovers.

Attendees have the chance to feel transported through time with cocktails, thanks to local mixologist Chris Spridgon, who will be mixing up 1920s libations on-site. Food trucks like Jimmy G’s BBQ and Cheat Day Donuts, raffles and live music from the Bridge Country Music Band complete the festive atmosphere.

The event is casual, and guests are asked to bring lawn chairs (as well as a valid ID) to this 21-and-over event.

General admission tickets for sampling beer and wine start at $30, but guests can opt to add one cocktail from Spridgon by purchasing special tickets that start at $40. Designate driver tickets are available as well for $10 and come with complimentary pop products and water.

Not enough for you? Those who want to elevate their experience can purchase a VIP ticket for $100 and receive all the benefits of general admission, plus a seat in the VIP tent, light refreshments, three drinks not offered in the main event and a commemorative pint glass perfect for sipping at home.
