New Casino Hotel Set to Open in Columbus in June

Hollywood Casino Columbus brings 203 rooms, a new restaurant and other amenities with its 150,000 square foot addition.

It may be time to double down on a trip to Columbus this summer, as the company behind the new hotel tower rising new to Hollywood Casino Columbus says its new addition is expected to open June 12, 2026, with an outdoor festival and concert.

The 150,000 square foot tower serves as a major upgrade for the casino, which sits near the intersection of Interstate 270 and U.S. Route 40 on the southwest side of the city.  The addition brings 183 standard rooms and 23 luxury suites , conference rooms, a fitness center and an outdoor terrace as well as a full-service bar and restaurant, The Hill Eatery & Lounge. Overnight guests can book rooms as soon as April 15 by visiting the casino’s website.

“We’re thrilled to officially announce the opening date for our new hotel at Columbus, which positions us to be the top entertainment destination in the region,” said Jay Snowden, CEO and President of PENN Entertainment, which operates Hollywood Casino Columbus, in a March 12, 2026, press release.  

Along with the new hotel rooms, the casino also expects to introduce an expanded high-limit tables games room during the second half of 2026. The 160,000-square-foot casino already features slot machines, table games, a sportsbook and the state’s largest poker room. Dining options include The Lounge at Final Cut Steak & Seafood, The Sportsbook, Mikey’s Late-Night Slice, Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace, Zen Noodle and Wahlburgers.

The new addition will add about 100 new jobs at the property, and Hollywood Casino Columbus has job fairs scheduled for all hotel staff positions on March 27 and April 10.
