Lake Erie Canopy Tours Kicks Off Its 2025 Season

This Geneva-on-the-Lake destination is open for the summer and adding a new kayaking experience to its lineup of offerings.

Whether Geneva-on-the-Lake visitors are seeking a zip through the treetops or a peaceful paddle in the water this summer, they will find what they are looking for at Lake Erie Canopy Tours.

Located adjacent to The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake, Lake Erie Canopy Tours is well known for its zip-line experiences offered each year. This summer, a new addition allows for visitors to rent kayaks and explore the Lake Erie shoreline at the scenic Cowles Creek, a tributary located within Geneva State Park.

The new kayak offering is accompanied by the return of the zip-line tours and adventure courses that Lake Erie Canopy Tours has become known for. Kayaking, the Half-Zip Line course, Kid’s Landlubber’s Adventure Course and golf cart rentals are currently open, with the Adventure Course and Full-Zip Line offerings are available Thursdays through Sundays beginning June 1. Lake Erie Canopy Tours will be open for daily operation July 1 through Aug. 31.

On the ground, families can enjoy the Kids Landlubber’s Adventure Course, an on-site obstacle course with over 30 different elements ranging in difficulty. This self-guided course takes about one hour to complete and keeps children ages 4 to 10 occupied with different timber and rope activities, including a small zip line fit for Lake Erie Canopy Tours’ younger visitors.

Adventurers looking to get up in the trees can choose a Full Zip-Line tour with eight zip lines, or the Half-Zip Line course that includes four. Other favorite options are the 30-minute, Double Zip tour that includes swinging bridges and the chance to glide toward Lake Erie, as well as Dusk and Night Half-Zip Line experiences (beginning June 7).

“Lake Erie Canopy Tours guests love the new Double Zip introduced last season, [it’s] a great shorter option for thrill seekers,” Charlene Horgan, general manager of The Lodge at Geneva-on-the-Lake said in a May 13, 2025, press release. “This season, we are excited to give our guests the opportunity to experience the beauty of Lake Erie while kayaking.”
