History with a Twist Embraces the 1990s

This annual cocktail event returns to the Hancock Historical Museum in Findlay, with a focus on the last decade of the 20th century.

Take a sip back in time by tasting various cocktails created around a 1990s theme at the Hancock Historical Museum. On June 12, the annual History with a Twist event returns, garnering inspiration from the museum’s new “Growing Up 90s: Hancock County Edition” exhibit. The exhibit features photos and videos that paint the picture of growing up in Hancock County during the last decade of the 20th century.

Eight local bartenders are set to participate in the competition to make their own cocktail creations, each of which will be voted on by both attendees and a panel of anonymous judges. The drinks will reflect the time through their ingredients, title or presentation, and the People’s Choice award will be determined based on the votes included in each purchased ticket. Guests also have the option to cast additional votes through donations. The Grand Champion award will be determined by the judges’ vote.

All proceeds will be used to support the museum’s mission and contribute to educational resources associated with the organization. Along with the cocktail tasting, guests are treated to appetizers and live music presented by Jason Wagner and Ryan Parker.

Tickets are limited and are $55 for museum members and $65 for the public, and they can be purchased online or at the museum. An exclusive Hancock Historical Museum cocktail glass is included for those who sign up for a membership during this event.
