Come tour the Spangler Candy Company on the Dum-Dums Trolley!

Visit the Spangler Candy Company, located in Bryan, Ohio and take a tour on their Dum-Dums Trolley and see for yourself how Spangler Candy produces over 2.4 billion pieces of candy a year!

For more than 100 years, the Spangler Family has been making candy right here in Ohio! What started out as a small regional manufacturer of baking powder, baking soda and laundry starch, has grown into a world-class manufacturing facility that produces over 2 billion pieces of candy a year.

Its flagship brand, Dum-Dums pops, is just one of the brands the company produces. Spangler Candy also makes Saf-T-Pops, Marshmallow Circus Peanuts and is the sole manufacturer of candy canes in the United States.

People from all over come to Bryan, Ohio, to visit Spangler Candy Company. Visitors step into the store/museum to see for themselves the history of the company and its products. The museum highlights four generations of family leadership, while the store offers all the sweet treats that Spangler makes. Also available in the store are t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and even Dum-Dums scented candles and flavored lip balms.

The video room features a 10-minute video on the history of Spangler Candy, and there’s an activity room for the kids.

The guided trolley tour (hours and pricing at spanglercandy.com) takes passengers through the receiving warehouse, past the lollipop-wrapping room, through the pack-out area of the plant, out into the distribution center and then returns to the store museum. This half-hour tour also includes video of what happens in the kitchens.

This is a great day trip for families, school kids, senior groups, grandparents, scout groups, church groups and anyone who enjoys candy!
