Experience the Magic of Holiday Shopping in Northeast Ohio

Holiday shopping in Medina County brings unique local finds and festive experiences that create memorable seasonal traditions for you and your loved ones.

Holiday Shopping in northeast Ohio is extra special when you can do so with loved ones and friends, surrounded by twinkling lights in a Hallmark-movie atmosphere. Each shopping area in Medina County is carefully designed to offer gifts and experiences for you to share with those on your list. Each region of the county has unique offerings to inspire creativity and is sure to help you find the perfect gift for those difficult to shop for.

In northern Medina County, Market 42 offers a dining adventure and a great shopping spot to find personalized gifts, jewelry and plants. After you gather your gifts, you can fuel up by eating at one of the 25 food vendors with selections from around the world. Ice cream, coffee, fruits and sweets, serve as the perfect end to your meal of pizza, tacos, burgers, stir fry or ramen. Just don’t forget to pick up a fry pie to take with you on the road. Need a gift for the thrill seeker on your list? Stop in at Scene 75 in Brunswick to grab a gift card or book a party where you can find opportunities for go-kart racing, amusement games, putt putt golf and plenty of competitive fun.

If you’re wanting a chance to window shop and immerse yourself in holiday spirit, head to central Medina County. Medina’s public square offers boutiques, bakeries, jewelry shops and bookstores. The gift store at Castle Noel is full of holiday magic, ornaments, decor and clothing unique to classic holiday movies that deliver plenty of nostalgia. Black Cat Books and Oddities, located a few steps from the center of town, is the perfect place to grab a gift for the booklover in your life. Black Cat is more than just a bookstore, it’s a chance to experience literary artfulness in rooms that immerse you in genre and theme. Just east of the square, you can visit Sweets and Geeks for imported candy, sodas, Funko pops, Legos and popular collector card games. West of the square is the 150-year-old home of Root Candles, where you can spend hours wandering a warehouse filled with home and candle displays.

Make a stop at The Common Ground, a beautifully repurposed pickle factory with vintage shops, pop-up markets and Pickleback’s bar, where you can enjoy local brews or relax with signature mocktails and cocktails. At The Common Ground, they’ll tell you to “Skip the Mall- Shop Small” and we couldn’t agree more. Another unique experience you can expect from The Common Ground is large displays that create the perfect background for photo opportunities with family and friends. With kitschy backgrounds and traditional seating areas, your holiday photos will be the talk of your holiday dinner gathering.

As you make your way to the southern region of Medina County, we highly recommend stopping at Boyert’s Greenhouse and Farm. Whether you’re in need of your holiday tree, a special table arrangement or something beautiful for your home, you will find unexpected treasures. With workshops and visits with Santa Claus set against the backdrop of poinsettias in the property’s greenhouse, the holiday spirit is overflowing. One of the best offerings you will find is the selection of birding books, birdhouses and bird food perfect for the amateur or professional birder.

In Seville you will find vintage treasures, leather goods, antiques and a family-owned flower shop loved by locals. At Eighteen West Boutique and Vintage, the walls are lined with cookware and bakeware, as well as beautifully crafted pictures and artwork for your home. Each piece is thoughtfully displayed in the warehouse-style shop, where you can find one-of-a-kind gifts and even sign up for a workshop or class. Finn Fickle Goods is an excellent place to find leather jewelry, handbags or an upscale leash and collar for your four-legged family members. This store prides itself on high-quality handmade goods and they source materials from local leather and hardware suppliers, making you feel great about buying local. Seville Flower and Gift has all the traditional floral arrangements you’d expect, as well as gifts and holiday specials to help brighten someone’s day. You can order both online and in-store.

Wadsworth’s downtown shopping experienced us unmatched. Uniquely Handmade For You has a large collection of items from local vendors that make great gifts, as well as tasty meal-prep packages and holiday accents for your home. Quaint caries both men’s and women’s clothing, as well as wine and spirits. You can also pick up a sweet treat from Just Eat the Cookie. Both Urban Cottage and Byrd and Co. offer home accents and gifts as well. Grab a gift card to the Grizzly Arcade and Escape Wadsworth to help the kids have a fun-filled holiday break. No shopping trip in Wadsworth would be complete without a stop at Dolce to enjoy some authentic gelato and reward yourself for a successful holiday shopping trip.

We guarantee that you will have much more fun shopping throughout Medina County than you would at a shopping center or mall. Plus, you’ll feel accomplished and proud to have shopped locally. Grab your bags and head to Medina County for all your holiday shopping festivities.
