Take a Hike: Mining Reclamation and BioBlitz
Cumberland
Explore natural resources while participating in this 2.6-mile loop hike. Head to the entrance of Sand Hollow Campground and meet at the shelter house to embark on the “bioblitz,” a group activity collecting fauna and flora data, along the way. This particular morning focuses on mining reclamation and is considered moderate to difficult due to tricky footing and steep inclines; participants are encouraged to bring water, snacks and a phone.
