Buckeye Chuck Day

Since 1990, a version of Buckeye Chuck, an Ohio groundhog with lore spanning back to the ‘70s, has paid Marion residents a visit, delivering his prediction for a longer winter or more immediate spring. Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to bring cash donations or nonperishable goods to the fairgrounds in support of the St. Vincent Depaul Food Pantry.
