2018 Glass City Balloon Race

Up to twenty hot air balloons compete during races held at dawn Friday through Sunday and dusk on Friday and Saturday. Evening glows, where the balloons light up the field, take place after the evening flights on Friday and Saturday followed by fireworks. Competitors come to the area from across the country to take part in this FAA-sanctioned event. Food trucks, craft displays, children’s games and activities, concerts and a beer garden add to the fun on the ground, as well as pilot meet and greets, a 5K run, a motorcycle run, BMX bike and drone demonstrations, a car show and helicopter rides.
