‘Lost & Found in Cleveland’ Hits Theaters Nov. 7

The movie, which was filmed in Cleveland and other northeast Ohio locations, stars Martin Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, June Squibb and many others.

”Lost & Found in Cleveland” arrives in theaters Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, bringing the feature film from Marisa Guterman and Keith Gerchak to screens across Ohio (find ”Lost & Found in Cleveland” show times near you). The film features an ensemble cast that includes names like Martin Sheen, Dennis Haysbert, Stacy Keach and June Squibb.

When we last talked to Guterman and Gerchak in 2024, they were sharing the first stills from their movie, which was filmed in Cleveland in January and February 2023, and looking for distribution to get it into theaters. The film’s arrival upon the cusp of the holiday season plays to its central message that the future is built on the treasures and memories of the past. ”Lost & Found in Cleveland” is told over the course of 24 hours as an ”Antiques Roadshow”-style television program draws together the stories of five diverse characters.

“I always had this idea to write something about ‘Antiques Roadshow,’ because I was fascinated by it,” Guterman told us during our 2024 conversation with her. “I watched it with my dad growing up, and I just fell in love with these people coming in with their objects. I have an art-history brain, and what I always loved about art history was the story behind the art. ‘Antiques Roadshow’ is just very pure storytelling.”

A native of Los Angeles, Guterman didn’t want to set the film in California. That’s when her writing partner Gerchak, who hails from Cleveland, suggested his hometown as the backdrop. The film premiered Oct. 19, 2025, at the Newport Beach Film Festival in California. The Fifthian Group, which is developing a platform to help smaller films that have disappeared from cinemas get to market, is distributing ”Lost & Found in Cleveland.”

The lead-up to the film’s release included a “Lost & Found in Cleveland” week, running Nov. 1 through 7 that included a Taste of Lost & Found in Cleveland Day at the West Side Market on Nov. 5 and a Museum Day on Nov. 6 at the Western Reserve Historical Society in Cleveland and McKinley Presidential Library & Museum in Canton (both are featured in the film) that highlights props, costumes and other items from the movie.
