Explore Ohio Artists and Artisans at Legacy Village

Featuring creations ranging from sculptures to soaps, the 34th edition of Legacy Village’s annual Art in the Village is set for May 31 to June 1 in Lyndhurst.

If you’re looking to unwind, window shop and support local artists, check out the 34th Annual Art in the Village with Craft Marketplace at Legacy Village in Lyndhurst. Stroll through booths of jewelry, ceramics, photography and a marketplace of diverse craft goods produced by over 100 creatives hailing from across Ohio. The event is free and open to the public and runs from May 31 to June 1.

Located in the Cleveland suburb of Lyndhurst, Legacy Village offers a bustling outdoor shopping center with over 40 retailers, mixing popular chain brands like L.L. Bean and Crate & Barrel with distinctly local establishments. The picturesque architecture is exceptionally suited to serve as the backdrop for an art fair.

The 34th Annual Art in the Village with Craft Marketplace showcase is a juried show, with a group of judges from Howard Alan Events ensuring that the final selection of artists and artisans represents a variety of mediums and prices as well as original work.

One of the artists featured in the show is Dawn Blattel, a ceramicist and educator who uses twisted tendrils of clay and psychedelic glazes to create sculptures that seem uncannily lifelike. Another is Tracy McCarty, who captures scenes of water via watercolors, incorporating freedom and lightness into still images of waves and splashes. Rick Deal is also featured, with his fine art photography showcasing the beauty of nature. On the craft side, artisan vendors offer handmade soaps, candles and other goods for practical use that are perfect to take home for yourself or give as a gift.
