Browse photography, blown glass, paintings, jewelry, pottery and more at these festivals that showcase the talent of local artists as well as those from across the country. 

Jack Pine has been lauded for his dazzling handcrafted glass pumpkins. His designs aren’t just limited to the fall though, shining year-round and drawing visitors to his studio in the Hocking Hills. You can glimpse colorful glass works yourself during the annual Jack Pine Glass Garden Art Festival, but that is just the beginning of the artistic offerings this season. Check out the work of artists lining the streets of these communities and even pick up a piece to take home for yourself.

Jack Pine Glass Garden Art Festival | May 2-4
Since 2023, glass blower Jack Pine has invited travelers to his studio in the Hocking Hills for the Glass Garden Art Festival. Rain or shine, visitors can enjoy thousands of glass creations, including Pine’s famous pumpkins, in bright spring colors. In addition, attendees can watch Pine in action performing glass-blowing demonstrations, enjoy live music, food trucks children’s activities and more. For an extra cost, enjoy the Taste of Morels event as part of the festival.

Art on the Alley | May 4
Visit downtown New Philadelphia for the spring rendition of this popular event that invites visitors to explore the work of local makers and creators. Browse pottery, photography, home decor and more, and enjoy musical acts across different stages. Performers include the New Philadelphia Guitar Ensemble, Tuscarawas Philharmonic children’s Chorus, T-County Ukulele Squad and others. Plus, enjoy balloon artists, live chalk drawings, crafts and yard games.

Taste of the Arts | May 16
Spend an evening in downtown Piqua for this family-friendly event that blends arts and eats in perfect harmony. Throughout the day, browse works from local artists and enjoy live art demonstrations. Music fills the air, contributing to the festival feel and includes performances by Sean McSwain and Moonstone. Dance along to the music and then enjoy a bite to eat to cap off the evening.

Art on the Canal Art Stroll | May 17
Historic Downtown Canal Winchester comes to life with music and arts in a celebration of community during this art-focused event. Set up through the sidewalks of downtown, grab lunch, dinner or a drink at one of the local stops and browse artwork from central Ohio makers during this juried event. Live entertainment is also on the schedule, with music and dance performances, and guests are also invited to visit the Canal Winchester Historical Complex to dive into the area’s local history.

Delaware Arts Festival | May 17-18
Celebrate 50 years of this annual arts festival in the heart of downtown Delaware. Set up along Sandusky and Winter streets, visitors will find jewelry, tie-dye art, potter, leatherwork, paintings and more at this nonprofit festival that provides scholarships and grants to local students and school art programs. Browse the works of 174 artists from across the country, and grab a bite from the food trucks while enjoying the live music stage at the south end of Sandusky Street.

Mohican Arts and Crafts Festival | May 24
Central Park in Loudonville plays host to local artisans and craftsmen for the annual Mohican Arts and Crafts Festival. The park, situated in downtown Loudonville, provides visitors access to the local businesses and restaurants in town, and additional food vendors will set up on the festival grounds. Explore the work of 50 local artists to explore and perhaps even take home a piece of art for yourself.
