In honor of Buckeye Vodka’s 10th anniversary, we asked the Dayton-based distillery to share recipes for a few celebratory cocktails. This colorful drink boasting blue curaçao and simple syrup is a reason for celebration. Buckeye Vodka founder Jim Finke says his distillery's signature spirit combines well with most ingredients. “[Our vodka] is very good on its own, but it mixes with just about anything you want to do,” he says. The citrusy taste of the curaçao and the molasses-like consistency of the syrup make for a beautiful blue drink with an orangey twist. “Prosecco adds a little bit of a pop to it with the effervescence of it, but the other stuff is pretty sweet,” Finke says. “So if you like sweet drinks, I think you’ll like these.”

INGREDIENTS
1 ounce Buckeye Vodka
2 ounces blue curaçao
1 ounce simple syrup
Prosecco
Honey
Sprinkles

DIRECTIONS
Rim a glass with honey and sprinkles. Pour vodka, curaçao, and simple syrup into a martini glass and top with prosecco.
