Chocolate Snickers Candy Bar Cookie Pie Recipe

Here's how to make Nutcracker Family Restaurant’s decadent, contest-winning dessert.

When Nancy Butcher read about General Mills’ Neighborhood to Nation Recipe Contest, she knew her decadent desserts would serve up a win. Her Chocolate Snickers Candy Bar Cookie Pie took the prize as the competition’s dessert recipe winner. The dish is a customer favorite at the Nutcracker Family Restaurant in Pataskala, where Butcher has been co-owner and dessert chef for over 20 years.

The pie begins with a boxed chocolate cake mix combined with an egg, water, butter and a chopped Snickers candy bar. The result is a cookie-like consistency that can be served warm with your favorite sundae toppings or devoured as-is.

“It’s delicious all by itself,” says Butcher. “You’ve got to remember, it’s a cookie inside a crust, so you can’t go wrong.” 63 E. Broad St., Pataskala 43062, 740/964-0056, nutcrackerfamilyrestaurant.com
