As the jet winged its way toward Ohio, Tory Ross leaned back in her seat, sighed and closed her eyes. It had been an exhausting couple of weeks. Touring nationally as Mrs. Claus in Radio City Christmas Spectacular, she'd spent the night before performing at the Grand Old Opry in Nashville. Now, at 5 a.m., on this frosty December morning, Ross was making a whirlwind trip to Dayton — the town in which she grew up — to audition for a part that was sure to be pivotal to her career. Tender Moments

It's a story filled with hope and courage — not to mention two dozen tunes that are an integral part of the Great American Songbook.
