Grape Getaway

Interesting article. Our daughter and son-in-law just returned from their first grape picking. I was born on Put-In-Bay as was my mother and grandparents. I recall my mother speaking of getting excused from school to help with grape harvest. She was a member of the class of 1923 at Put-in-bay public school. I wish I could share the same experience now but I think I'm too old to try it at my age. I was born in 1930.
