Editor's Note: Home Values
Our hometowns are filled with reminders of personal milestones. You
never forget that stretch of sidewalk where you had those initial wobbly
moments on two wheels, or the baseball diamond where that first hit
skidded across the infield.
Likewise, lazy afternoons at the
park and cool Friday evenings under stadium lights stick in our memory.

That pride in the places we call home — be it where we
grew up or where we’ve chosen to live as adults — is why we celebrate

throughout Ohio, the more we find places like these, filled with people
who work hard, take pride in their town and understand what it means to
be a good neighbor.
Though a cynic may scoff at such talk, these
notions are far from quaint. They’re what make us who we are and what
makes Ohio such a great place to call home.
This year, we are
pleased to recognize Aurora, Gahanna, Logan, Loveland and Vermilion as
our Best Hometowns 2013–2014. We’ll be celebrating these communities in
our magazine not only this month but at various times throughout the

find yourself at home in one of them.
